Frequently asked questions (FAQ's)

Questions we are asked often! So here are the answers:

You have a “For Sale” price on caravans, but what are the additional charges?
You must insure your holiday home and pay Business rates. Gas is bottled … pay as you go and Electric is metered and paid for at the end of the season.

Can I rent a caravan?
The park does not have a hire fleet / caravans for rent

Can I sublet?
No!! Though your family are always welcome.

Are there shops nearby?
The closest shop is near Monkton village, or there is a village store and butcher in Preston (a few minutes by car). Large supermarkets and retail shops are 15 minutes away by car

Laundry?
We have coin operated washing and drying machines available on site

Can I bring my pets?
We are pet friendly and as each caravan holiday home has its own roomy fenced garden …. Your pet has their own space too!! – but, we need to see current vaccination certificates.

Does the park offer finance?
Yes, we can usually arrange a finance quote, through Barclay’s

How long are we allowed to stay in Our Caravan Holiday Home?
We are a holiday park with a holiday licence. The park is open from late February until the end of November….. NOT FULL TIME – and it can’t be your only address!

Do we get any kind of agreement or licence for the pitch?
We use the written code of practice and licence agreement, developed by the BH&HPA and the NCC.

“Security of tenure” …. What is that and how long do we get?
This is the right to occupy the pitch with the caravan that you buy from us. Here we give 15 years from the date of caravan manufacture.

What’s included in the price?
On new caravans this includes delivery, usual connections to water, appropriate gas, electric and sewerage, fridge, fence, steps and first year's fees.

What if I want to put a washing machine in my new caravan, or other electrical appliances?
Remember, that the caravan is a holiday home, and does not have a domestic electricity supply, so always check with the office.
